Focus and Scope
Central Asian Journal of Social Science and History (CAJSSH) was established in 2020 to accommodate a wide range of research in the fields of social sciences, economics, and history, with a particular emphasis on Central Asia. Over time, as academic developments progressed, the journal has refined its scope to focus more specifically on the core areas of social science and cultural studies—while still maintaining its original commitment to Central Asian topics. CAJSSH also welcomes high-quality global submissions that offer theoretical insights or comparative analysis relevant to its core disciplines.
The term "history" in the journal’s name reflects our continued interest in historical research; however, CAJSSH does not publish studies in pure historical methodology. Rather, it focuses on historical analyses that contribute to social science discourse—especially those that help explain contemporary social, political, and cultural developments.
The journal publishes scholarly works in the following areas:
a. Social Sciences: Including sociology, media, and communication studies focused on social structures, human behavior, and community life.
b. Governance and Political Systems: Research on political theory, public policy, and models of governance.
c. Cultural Studies: Analysis of cultural identities, practices, and the effects of globalization.
d. Development and Social Change: Topics such as inequality, gender, urbanization, and globalization.
e. Historical Perspectives: Historical research that contributes to the understanding of current social issues, institutions, and identities.
