In the administration of justice, the mechanism and procedure for preparing a criminal case for a court hearing are of great importance. In this regard, the judge must carefully prepare the necessary actions so that the trial is of high quality and the criminal case is considered without violating the deadline. This article analyzes changes in the national criminal procedure legislation concerning the preparation of a case for trial, the institution of a preliminary hearing in a criminal case; analyzes the foreign experience of individual countries on this topic; defines the essence and objectives of the trial, its impact on the lawful sentencing of the court.
