Abstract

This article scientifically analyzes the problems of preserving traditional houses of Bukhara, their architectural features and the preservation of the historical environment. During the study, the historical authenticity of houses in the old city of Bukhara, the impact of modern reconstruction processes and the level of preservation of traditional architectural elements were studied. Also, the suitability of ecological architectural solutions, such as the internal courtyard system, thick walls and the location of rooms, to the climate was analyzed. The article also highlights the role of the neighborhood system and the local population in preserving historical houses, and substantiates that the preservation of traditional construction methods is an important factor ensuring the stability of the historical environment. The results of the study show that traditional houses of Bukhara can be evaluated not only as a model of historical heritage, but also as a model of ecological and sustainable architecture.
